I can offer personal Archery coaching on either a one to one basis or small groups of between five and ten people. 

 

10 years teaching Archery and 23 years competitive shooting experience with Compound Recurve and Longbow winning 23 National Field titles, and  11 international medals in Indoor, 3D and Field, including world champion Longbow title in 2004, Fita 3D World champion and IFAA European Field title in 2009.

I can teach from novice level but my courses mainly structured for Archers who have already acquired some basic knowledge and experience of shooting and wish to progress to an intermediate or more advanced level, gaining more confidence for shooting Field\3D competitions.

A lot of Archers read books and watch DVD’s of some of the great modern Traditional shooters, wanting to emulate their unique style thinking that by watching them it will allow them to shoot with the same skill level, unless you have a good understanding of what's required to make a good shot and the causes of bad shots it's impossible to progress, many DVD's show some great shooting but don't really go into any real detail of how to build up good shooting form. 

 

My course is designed to show some basic form rules and proven training methods and to help develop analytical skills needed to identify and fix form errors, allowing an Archer to discover their own unique and consistent shooting style that works best for them.  

Courses will be held in English at Kajamaa shooting club which has excellent facilities and Marked Field\Animal Archery course, 3D Archery course  and 90m Fita  range , Conference room and Sauna facilities are available at exta cost of 2400 EEK's half day and 3500 EEks full day.

Bow tuning and best equipment choice

Breaking down and building up good basic shooting form

Video analysis (using 1000fps slow motion video playback to identify and correct form errors)

Blank bale work  (what it is and how to use it correctly)

Formaster training tool

Understanding  and using aiming methods such as Instinct, Split-vision and Gap

Range estimation techniques for better shooting on unmarked paper Animals & 3D's

Shooting up\down hill shots

Mental approach to dealing with competition pressure

Practice methods for building better form & confidence

Target panic,  prevention and cure

Documentation covering all topics discussed will be provided at end of the course (Estonian or English)

Half day course (4hrs) for 5 people                         2500 EEKs

Full day course (2 x 4hrs) between 5 to 10 people   5000 EEK's

One to one personal tuition, per hour                     500   EEKs  (free equipment hire for novice Archers)

I can travel to any venue requested for half\full day price but all travel costs with be agreed and paid by customer in advance.
